Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 3 will make the jump from Xbox One to PC on September 5th, 2014.
The announcement comes in tandem with the recent Steam summer sale, with the publisher offering players a 25% discount on the PC port should they buy the game ahead of time. Mind you, this promotion only extends to 10am PT today.
And, if you’d like to gauge the horsepower of your own set-up before buying Capcom’s zombie-slaying title, here are the minimum specs for the game:
OS: Windows 7 64-bit edition, Windows 8 64-bit edition
Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.30GHz (or Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz) / AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.00 GHz or higher
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 / AMD Radeon 7870 or higher
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 11 Compatible sound card
Additional Notes: Broadband internet connection is required for Co-op play
With Dead Rising 3 on PC, players will also have access to the familiar graphical tweaks; however, Capcom warned that changes to the game’s framerate may lead to some instability.
“While Dead Rising 3 is optimised to run at 30 frames per second for gameplay reasons, you can expect it to still run fine uncapped under most conditions provided you have a capable enough hardware.”
During the course of E3, the publisher also announced a new piece DLC for the game, which has been given the ludicrous, mash-up title Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition Ex Plus Alpha (phew!). It’s not clear whether this expansion will be available day and date on PC, but we’ll likely learn more closer to the game’s PC launch on September 5th, 2014.
