Hot off of the recent unveiling of its character roster and release date, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair has received its first official English trailer. While light on specific plot details (which is probably for the best, considering how many surprises the first game packed), we get to hear some of the voices for various new characters, along with the return of Monokuma, the adorably evil robot bear who will once again serve as the game’s primary antagonist.
It can also be assumed from the trailer that the trial sections, which serve as a wrap-up to each individual murder mystery, will play very similarly to the original Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, where players will have to prove their innocence, disprove alibis, and present evidence to uncover each culprit.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will launch for the PS Vita in North America on September 2, both as a downloadable version on the PlayStation Store as well as a physical game card. For diehard fans, NIS America is offering a Limited Edition that comes with a soundtrack CD, art book, and various other goodies.
