With E3 2015 fast-approaching, every studio and publisher in the industry is ensuring that all eyes will be on their respective titles when the lights go down and the curtains rise. Come June 15, Ubisoft, sandwiched in between EA and Sony, will take to the stage to offer up fresh details on in-development games such as Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Tom Clancy’s The Division and tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege.
Upon announcing the squad-based title last year, the French publisher stated it was “time to reboot Rainbow.” Now, it’s time to go inside the titular and elite counter terrorist unit. Ushering the FBI-SWAT team into the limelight for the second installment of Inside Rainbow, the footage above introduces us to our specialist quartet: Pulse, Thermite, Ash and Castle, with each character boasting their own particular perks and special abilities.
After hosting a closed alpha test for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft is now gearing up for the logical next step in the development cycle: the beta test phase. Currently, budding hostage rescuers can register for an opportunity to partake in the bout of testing via the game’s official page, though it’s understood that those who pre-order Siege will gain instant access in the beta when it goes live across all platforms at a later, yet-to-be-announced date.
Rainbow Six Siege will breach PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 13. Until then, be sure to let us know your thoughts on the latest trailer down below and stay tuned for more coverage of Siege and indeed all of Ubisoft’s software offerings during E3.
