Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, the latest entry in Ubisoft‘s war-themed shooter series, was originally revealed almost a year ago but hasn’t been heard from since. Now, some investigations on U.S. trademarks have given hints that the game may have been cancelled.
The game’s title patent has abandonment notices dating back to April, and attempts to contact developer Gearbox have only resulted in a representative saying that they currently have nothing to share about the title.
The original debut trailer, while not showcasing actual gameplay, gave off a tone reminiscent of such films as Inglourious Basterds, with a ragtag group going up against unsuspecting Nazis in an excessively violent manner.
We will keep you updated on any more news regarding the title as it develops but for now, don’t hold your breath on this title ever seeing the light of day.
