Yesterday Gearbox forum users found some files in the latest Borderlands 2 patch that revealed the next bit of downloadable content for the game will be titled “Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt“. The developer has yet to officially reveal the DLC, however, they have confirmed that the information is correct.
Aside from the awesome name, we don’t really know much about Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt. The only details that we know for sure right now come from the following three PS3 Trophies, which were uncovered by the forum members.
- “Face Off” (Bronze trophy) Completed the mission: “The Fall of Nakayama”
- “Done that” (Gold trophy) Completed all Hammerlocks hunt side missions.
- “Been there” (Silver trophy) Discovered all named locations in Hammerlocks Hunt.
Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt will be Borderlands 2‘s third piece of DLC — the first two being Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty (released October 16th) and Mr. Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage (released November 20th). The game’s Season Pass contains a total of four DLC packs, so there is one more unannounced title that will likely be discovered in a future game patch.
Gearbox has not yet formally announced Big Game Hunt, so right now the DLC’s release date is unknown. We will let you know as soon as we hear any additional details concerning the remaining Borderlands 2‘s add-on content.
