Nintendo announced today during their Wii U press conference that Platinum Games is developing Bayonetta 2 exclusively for the upcoming console, and that The Big N themselves will be publishing the title.
Last May, Bayonetta‘s creator Hideki Kamiya teased on his Twitter account that Platinum Games might still be working on Bayonetta 2, after the unannounced game was rumored to have been cancelled due to Sega’s restructuring plans. Nothing was said about the title at E3 in June, so today’s reveal comes as a bit of a surprise.
At this point we literally know nothing about Bayonetta 2, except that it is not listed in Nintendo’s Wii U launch window lineup (November 18, 2012 through March 31, 2013).
