As we approach the two month anniversary of the launch of Batman: Arkham Knight, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has offered up more details on the title’s upcoming DLC. The unveiling coincides with the launch of two new sets of content for the critically acclaimed sequel.
Based around Tim Burton’s classic film, the 1989 Batmobile Pack gives gamers the complete Michael Keaton Batman experience. The Dark Knight’s costume has been outfitted to look like Keaton’s classic look, while the Batmobile is the iconic black ride from the film. In addition to the two costumes, the pack also comes with two new challenge tracks based around Batman Returns.
Launching alongside the 1989 Batmobile Pack is the Bat-Family Skin Pack. A purely cosmetic purchase, the set comes with six new costumes for the Bat Clan. These include the Original Arkham Knightwing costume, the Black and Grey Batman costume and four other fan favorites. Both packs are available for free of charge for those who own the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass. For those that don’t, however, each set will run you $1.99.
The DLC fun doesn’t stop there, though, as September brings even more content to Batman: Arkham Knight. Upcoming content includes a Nightwing-centered story chapter, new AR challenges and even more outfits for the Caped Crusader to rock. Rocksteady has offered details on each piece of content, which can be seen below.
- Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #1 (Sept. 1): Receive 6 AR challenges for Batman, Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman. This expansive challenge pack allows focused training in Freeflow Combat and Invisible Predator stealth incursion.
- GCPD Lockdown (Later in Sept.): Set after the events of Arkham Knight, play as Nightwing to stop the Penguin from breaking out of the Gotham City Police Department in this thrilling story pack.
- 2008 Tumbler Batmobile Pack (Later in Sept.): Inspired by the 2008 movie ‘The Dark Knight’, intimidate your foes with the Tumbler Batmobile and race through two themed tracks.
- Original Arkham Batman Skin (Later in Sept.): Fight the war against Gotham City with the original Arkham Asylum Batman costume.
