Assassin’s Creed Unity’s PS4/Xbox One Collector’s Edition Is Currently Available For $60

No, your eyes don't deceive you, though it is very possible that there's human error involved with this deal. Currently, Dell's online store is listing the Collector's Edition of Assassin's Creed Unity--often sold for $129.99 elsewhere and sold out at Amazon--for just $60. Does this mean you can actually run your credit card and register your pre-order for that little? Well, there's only one way to find out.

No, your eyes don’t deceive you, though it is very possible that there’s human error involved with this deal. Currently, Dell’s online store is listing the Collector’s Edition of Assassin’s Creed Unity–often sold for $129.99 elsewhere and sold out at Amazon–for just $60. Does this mean you can actually run your credit card and register your pre-order for that little? Well, there’s only one way to find out.

The deal was caught by the website Dealzon, who updated the game’s page with an editor’s note shortly after it appeared.

Okay, this has to be a price mistake. Assassin’s Creed Unity Collectors Edition is only $60 at Dell Home. The Collector’s is sold out at Amazon and GameStop, but where you can still pick it up (best buy) it’s selling for $129.99. Dell has it priced at $59.99 – or the same as the Standard Edition. Available at this price for the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Mistake or not, the price remains on Dell’s site as of this writing, so if your intent was to buy the Collector’s Edition anyway, there’s little reason not to jump at this opportunity now. In true Dell fashion, the site contains an option to finance your purchase for “as low as $20 a month,” though frankly that’s something I hope I never do. Stretching game payments over the course of three months? Count me out.

Even if a correction is made, it’s unclear whether or not Dell will honor already-processed $60 purchases of the Collector’s Edition of Assassin’s Creed Unity. One would certainly hope so; surely Dell understands how difficult explaining such a mix-up to your kids on Christmas would undoubtedly be.
