As if fans of the series didn’t get enough assassin-related goodness with the game’s in-depth 101 trailer earlier this week, Ubisoft has unveiled the show-stopping launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
Placing an emphasis on the brewing French Revolution, this new footage gives us an indication of Unity‘s overarching narrative and how our protagonist (Arno Dorian, in this instance) fits into the defining uprising. We’ve known for some time that Ubisoft’s latest entry into the long-running franchise is shaping up to be one of the sharpest games of this nascent generation in terms of visuals, and this sizzle reel effectively hammers home that point.
[zergpaid]And while Assassin’s Creed: Unity will largely take place in a Parisian setting, recently we learned that the sequel will have a segment that jolts players forward in time to World War II. According to Ubisoft, this time anomaly is a result of an unstable simulation with the Animus. It just so happens that our unfortunate protagonist is inadvertently jettisoned into the midst of The Great War, forcing players to evade luring zeppelins and high-powered machine guns as they go.
Following a slight delay, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is now poised to leap onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 11th in North America.
