An unconfirmed logo has surfaced on the internet today for something called Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix. While there is no official information tying the logo to Ubisoft, its appearance suggests that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag might not be the only AC-related product that the publisher is planning to release this year.
AllGamesBeta uncovered the mysterious screenshot, which shows the title Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix over a slightly washed out image of what appears to be the inside of a large warehouse. The background of the warehouse contains several large computer monitors, and two red and while symbols that look similar to the Abstergo Entertainment logo.
The Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix image also contains the Ubisoft logo, along with the following message, “Ubisoft Digital Arts: Internal Use Only, Do not duplicate or distribute”. Ubisoft Digital Arts is the name of the company’s digital cinema creation studio, which suggests that the Rising Phoenix logo is not necessarily for a second 2013 Assassin’s Creed game — assuming it is even an actual product.
It is also worth pointing out that VGleaks reported late last month that Ubisoft is planning to release a second Assassin’s Creed title alongside Black Flag later this year, possibly for the PlayStation Vita. This second AC game was not announced during the Assassin’s Creed IV reveal, and we have not heard any other rumors pointing to the existence of such a title.
At this point, all we have to go on is the unconfirmed Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix logo and its apparent tie to the Ubisoft Digital Arts cinema creation studio. Assuming that the entire image is not a fabrication, we are speculating that this is most likely not the title of another Assassin’s Creed game.
