Last month we learned that the first episode for the Assassin’s Creed III The Tyranny of King Washington DLC, titled The Infamy, would launch on February 19th. Ubisoft has now dated the remaining two episodes, revealing that the entire add-on will be released before May.
According to Ubisoft’s release schedule, the second episode of The Tyranny of King Washington (titled The Betrayal) will launch on March 19th, followed by the final episode (The Redemption) on April 23rd. All three release dates are for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of Assassin’s Creed III. The Wii U DLC will launch at an unannounced later date.
The Tyranny of King Washington DLC acts as an alternate history to the main events in the game where Connor never becomes an Assassin or takes part in the American Revolution War effort. This means that he keeps his impossible to pronounce name Ratonhnhaké:ton, and never gets the chance to fight off a bunch of Redcoats while dumping tea into the Boston harbor. As the war comes to a close in the add-on, George Washington makes a grab for ultimate power over the new nation. Ratonhnhaké:ton steps up to endure a new set of trials as he sets off on a journey to dethrone King Washington and “deliver justice in the newly-founded United States of America”.
Without proper assassin training, Ratonhnhaké:ton will have to master the following new abilities if he is to put a stop to King Washington.
- Power of the Bear – Fills Ratonhnhaké:ton with the strength and fury of the mighty bear.
- Power of the Eagle – Delivers a burst of speed, empowering Ratonhnhaké:ton with blinding agility.
- Power of the Wolf – Adopt the master camouflage of the wolf, rendering Ratonhnhaké:ton undetectable.
- Warpaint – A symbol of power and courage enhancing Ratonhnhaké:ton’s abilities.
- Alpha of the Pack – Command a brotherhood of fearsome and ruthless wolves.
All three episodes of The Tyranny of King Washington are part of the $29.99 (2400 Microsoft Points) Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, or as a single DLC purchase for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points). Check out the new trailer and screenshots for the three part DLC below.
