The remake of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a hit. A huge hit. A hit that made many, (including our own Chad Goodmurphy,) hope for a potential remake of the OTHER N64 Zelda hit, Majora’s Mask. Speaking in an interview to Portuguese site MyGames, producer for the Zelda games Eiji Aonuma may have inadvertently revealed that plans are in the works for a remake, as well as an all new Zelda 3DS game.
He mentions that the idea of a 3DS remake of Majora’s Mask has been tossed around, even brought to the mastermind of everything Zelda Shigeru Miyamoto. However it wouldn’t feel right to do two remakes back-to-back, and instead wants to put out an original Zelda game for 3DS first, along the lines of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, the two DS entires.
We may be reading too much into that, but it certainly sounds like we can expect more Zelda 3DS news sometime in the near future, and that’s certainly not a bad thing.
What say you, gamers? I actually wasn’t a fan of Majora’s Mask. I hate time limits, even generous ones. It made me rush through the game, and I hate rushing through games.
