Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003)
The 2003 reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn’t often receive the praise it merits. While most of our hearts still belong to the 1987 or the 2012 series, this TV show did a phenomenal job of bringing the heroes in a half shell to a new generation – and it did it well.
Likewise, the video game based on the series didn’t ignite the gaming community much like the earlier titles did. The story mode was reminiscent of older games where you could dive into multiplayer mode and cause some bodacious pizza-fueled damage to your foes as one of the four lean, mean heroes in green.
Additionally, there was a versus challenge where you could play as and take on a host of other characters from the TMNT mythos. For some real (i.e., lame) fun on the PC version, you could also change your computer’s date to 25 December and the Turtles would wear Christmas hats while fighting the bad guys.
C’mon, laugh a little. It’s funny and cute at the same time.
