The actress and singer, who hasn’t publicly taken the stage in nearly a decade, performed two tracks with Labrinth, “All of Us” and “I’m Tired,” toward the end of his set at Coachella’s Mojave Tent on April 22. The listed songs are also featured on the soundtrack of Zendaya’s hit HBO series Euphoria

Although there aren’t many details surrounding the pair’s performance aside from the footage uploaded to Coachella’s social media pages, Zendaya recounted the overall experience on her Instagram stories. In the first post, the Spiderman: Far from Home star thanked Labrinth for giving her “a safe space to be on a stage again.” She wrote while also thanking the fans,

“I cannot express my gratitude enough for this magical night. Thank you to my brother @labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again. And to the crowd tonight…wow…my heart is so full. I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight.”

Labrinth responded by resharing Zendaya’s post on his account and thanked the star for “blessing the stage” with her “fire energy.” A short time later, an exhausted Zendaya expressed how cool it was to perform at Coachella and how appreciative she was for the overwhelming support she received from fans, including their excessive cheers and many singing along to the words of the songs. She stated,

“I just wanted to say thank you again for such a magical, beautiful night. Thank you to Lab for inviting and making all this happened so last minute. Thank you to that gorgeous crowd. I have never heard screaming like that in my entire life. As soon as I turned the corner, I couldn’t hear anything… It was so special and everybody was singing along. It was so cool, so, so cool. Thank you all for welcoming me back on that stage with open arms it’s been a very long time, so I appreciate it.”

Prior to her Coachella appearance, Zendaya’s last concert performance occurred in 2015, following the release of her first and final studio album. It is unclear why Zendaya decided to stop singing professionally, but many can assume it was to focus on her acting career.

To date, Zendaya has starred in various hit projects, including the Spider-Man franchise, The Greatest ShowmanDune, and Euphoria
