Popular YouTuber and Rapper Bryan Quang Le, better known to the world as RiceGum, just released a heartbreaking video confirming that he and his partner had a stillborn child.
The video, simply titled Baby Girl, was seen by his 10 million subscribers on Thursday afternoon. “ty for watching,” the caption said. “I’m sad.” He then said “show mommy some love,” and linked to his partner’s Instagram page.
Condolences poured in in the comments and on Ellerie Marie’s Insta page as well. The video chronicles the young couple’s short journey through pregnancy and the time they spent together during it. There’s some scenes from the hospital, and we get to watch Marie’s stomach get bigger and bigger. She buys a baby book and sits for a sonogram.
“She’s perfect,” Marie says in the video. Then we cut to the baby shower, with extravagant party decorations like oversized blocks and huge teddy bears. There’re games, laughter and just an all-around chill and fun vibe. It gets more heartbreaking the bigger she gets, because you can see the couple get more and more excited.
At one point, Marie’s building a crib. They made it to 35 weeks and then everything came crashing down.
“We are still in tremendous shock,” the video said. “Our family and friends were beyond excited to welcome our baby into the world, instead we are in deep pain and permanently scarred. Only time has helped us through this tragedy. We could never get through this without each other.”
The video shows a picture of the new family holding their baby girl before they have to say goodbye. “Until we meet again, our beautiful baby girl. Mommy and Daddy love you and miss you so much.”
Condolences to RiceGum and Marie.
