The allegations date back to as early as 2017.

The YouTuber known as Miranda Sings, real name Colleen Ballinger, became the talk of Twitter seemingly overnight. The internet celebrity has been accused of harassing, bullying, and grooming underaged fans. The shocking allegations against Ballinger first emerged after Adam McIntyre, a former fan of Miranda Sings, released a YouTube video calling out the viral content creator. Titled “colleen balinger, stop lying,” the video has garnered over 1.7M views in three years and sees McIntyre clearing the air after he was ‘canceled’ by fans of Miranda Sings for attempting to expose her.

McIntyre details the inappropriate and damaging relationship he had with then-30-year-old Ballinger, whom he called toxic and manipulative. But the story never dies, as three years later, new allegations are arising as more and more victims come forward in solidarity with McIntyre and others who were exposed by Ballinger. McIntyre also claims the YouTuber would love-bomb with words of praise and encouragement, coercing him into running her social media accounts without pay or accreditation. This was the final straw for McIntyre, who ended their friendship.

Since these allegations have surfaced, (supposedly former) Miranda Sings fans have apologized to McIntyre for how he was treated in 2020. Several screenshots taken from group chats involving Ballinger show her questioning underaged fans about sexual topics, genitalia, periods, and more. She is also accused of manipulating fans into doing free favors to boost her credibility, similarly to how she mistreated McIntyre.

Certain Twitter threads have coherently outlined the timeline of events which led to Ballinger’s cancelation online. It seems as if Ballinger’s actions are still being excused by some, but these threads have helped to shed light on the matter. There seems to be a general ‘pass’ for Ballinger’s behavior due to the fact that she’s a woman, but as the informative thread below communicates, the internet would be in a frenzy if it were a male accused of such unspeakable acts, so the same accountability should be held to Ballinger, regardless of factors such as gender, age, sexuality, etc.

Due to the uproar caused by these claims, Ballinger has lost over 30k subscribers in just one week.

And it doesn’t end there. Parker Ballinger, the toddler son of Christopher and Jessica Ballinger who is also the nephew of Rachel, Colleen and Trent Ballinger, appears in several of Colleen’s videos. In these videos, Ballinger acts in a sexually suggestive manner in front of Parker, whether it be using a microphone as a phallic object or asking the toddler to “put a diaper on her,” the YouTuber has repeatedly exposed her nephew and used him for clout.

As for the Ballinger family as a whole, there’s a general consensus on social media that the Ballingers have exploited Parker for views, specifically encouraging interactions from homophobes and pedophiles.

In the same vein, Colleen has a stage show that urges children to come on stage to act out sexual scenes, such as pretending to give birth or pretending to be on a date with her. Video footage from Twitter exposes Ballinger for asking a nine-year-old boy to stick his hand down her pants for a “snack,” all while the child in question looks increasingly uncomfortable.

The now-36-year-old has been the subject of controversy for years, but the truth seems to be finally coming out.
