It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Wait, it’s a Taylor Swift email!

Taylor Swift’s fandom was sent into another state of chaos — a regular occurrence ever since her tenth studio album Midnights came out — following news that Ticketmaster had begun sending out emails for The Eras Tour presale.

Swift announced The Eras Tour on Nov. 1, and while her fandom had a Department-of-Justice-sized bone to pick with Ticketmaster, they were largely able to sign up for presale tickets that would grant them early access to snag some of the best seats in the stadium. Today, emails for those presale tickets went out and Swifties are not okay.

Well, some of them are.

Regretfully, not everyone has been able to partake in the fun. Many are still waiting to receive their email, while simultaneously crying over those who have.

Others frustratingly got their hopes up for no reason, thinking President Biden finally pulled off America’s student loan forgiveness plan and that all these emails included a hefty-sized check. Alas, it’s not Biden. It’s just Taylor.

The Eras Tour is Swift’s sixth tour and the first since her Reputation Tour in 2018. Shortly after releasing Midnights on Oct. 21, Swift dropped The Eras Tour bomb on her fans, describing the tour as a journey through her various musical eras; it will include songs from not just Midnights, but the other six albums she’s recorded since 2018.

Yes, Taylor Swift has recorded six albums since 2018. The first was Lover in 2019, her first album sans Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records. Next was her sister-albums Folklore and Evermore, both of which were recorded and released smack dab in the middle of the pandemic. Then there were the re-recordings of her two previous albums, Fearless and Red. Not to mention her latest release Midnights, an album that has broken one record after the next

As the current ruler of the music industry, Swift has no doubt been riding the high from Midnights and the wave of admiration that has come with it. Then again, this is Taylor Swift we’re talking about. She’s probably written an entire album in the last three weeks and polished off a second for good measure, simultaneously laying waste to any and all notions that she’s a geriatric pop star.

Anyway, good luck with those presale tickets. With any luck, we’ll see you at midnight.
