Elon Musk got his point across even while missing the actual point, but it's still a good burn either way.

When the purge started just a few days ago, celebrities from all across the galaxy lost their coveted blue checkmarks, except for three. It’s a fact that LeBron James, William Shatner, and Stephen King remained in the blue authentication zone because Elon Musk himself deemed it so. Of the three most prestigious in Elon Musk’s mind, Stephen King spoke out about it on the Twitter platform itself and the Rocketman slapped back in the deafest way.

Stephen King spoke out about it when Elon Musk was considering making the monthly subscription to validate for $20. The Shining author said, “They should be paying me.” Keep in mind that it’s the biggest stars and the biggest influencers with millions of followers who bring in the biggest bucks for the social media platform. However, there are many celebrities who opted not to pay the $8 monthly subscription for validation because they simply don’t want to put money in the pocket of the man whom with they have sensitive ideological disagreements.

To start the argument, Stephen King told Elon Musk where he could put his money and it had nothing to do with him shoving it anywhere.

That was a sore point for Elon Musk advocates who were quick to point out that he has “donated Starlink” at the cost of $100 million, which is impressive. Then, the Tesla CEO pointed that out himself.

However, that $100 million tab has run out and Musk is looking to the U.S. government to keep Starlink providing internet to Ukraine. Of course, $100 million is a good bit of money and no one is saying anything bad about that.

For one, The Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation β€” founded by the famous writer and his wife β€” give $3 million annually in grants to the Maine community and have been since 1986 when Elon was about 15 years of age. Giving is giving and there should never be any finger-pointing when it comes to what a donor finds important and where they put their money. However…

Does everything deserve a reply?

What happened to saying it with actions, not with words on a Twitter platform?

And yet, the comments about Stephen King’s silence are still buzzing the tweeter-space.

For the deaf ears, Stephen King didn’t want the blue checkmark paid for him by the space cadet himself because he wanted to make a statement just like all the other celebrities who lost their blue badges – like Mark Hamill, Halle Berry, and Lil Nas X, while Lady Gaga just let it fade out without saying a thing. Anyone who donates to charity should be slapped on the back and the two beefers both have, so why is it so bad for Stephen King to tell Elon Musk to put his money somewhere else?
