Despite how young the Stranger Things characters are played on screen, their actors are growing up and moving on with their lives. Millie Bobby Brown, in particular, seems to have concrete plans for the future ahead, with a walk down the aisle likely not far from coming to fruition.
Earlier today, the actress took to Instagram to seemingly confirm what many fans already suspected: that she is now engaged to her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi. The couple has been together since 2021, after meeting through Instagram and becoming close friends. Now, though, the two have decided it’s time to tie the knot.
The announcement came with a black-and-white photo of Brown and Bongiovi, in which she shows off her new ring. For the caption, Brown pulled inspiration from Taylor Swift’s discography, quoting the song “Lover” from the singer’s seventh studio album: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
At the same time that Brown’s post went up on social media, so did Bongiovi’s, who chose to upload a set of photos of the couple with a much simpler caption saying “Forever.” Needless to say, those who have been following the relationship for a while couldn’t be happier for the two lovebirds, and the congratulatory messages quickly flooded the comment sections of the posts.
Suspicions regarding the engagement started in early March when Brown posted a picture of herself driving on Instagram. In it, attentive fans spotted a never-seen-before piece of jewelry on the actress’ left ring finger, but the couple kept quiet otherwise, opting for delaying an official confirmation until now.
For now, there’s no information about when the wedding will take place. Brown currently has her hands full with work, as Stranger Things season five is planned to begin shooting in May. Additionally, fans are convinced that the actress will be part of the cast for season two of Wednesday, which, if proven true, means that wedding planning might have to take a backseat for the time being. Regardless of when Brown and Bongiovi get married, fans wish them nothing but the best.
