It’s not every day that two billionaires agree to get into a cage and fistfight, but it would seem as if that day happens to be today. Twitter troll and platform owner Elon Musk recently shared his willingness to jump into a cage and throw hands with Mark Zuckerberg, and now the Meta overlord has accepted the challenge.
In his response, Zuck referenced the iconic line from former UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, “send me location.” While no location has been sent, Musk responded, sharing that if the post is serious, he will do it.
Seeing two middle-aged tech CEOs in a fight, while fun, doesn’t lend itself to be the most technical fight ever, but the Facebook founder has notched plenty of training experience in recent years.
Zuckerberg was seen recently competing and medaling in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. One would think that these skills would be more than enough to take a win over Musk — someone who doesn’t appear to have any recent training of his own. If there is one thing on his side, it’s size and his original technique, “The Walrus.”
The recent rivalry between the two stems from news that Meta is working on its own Twitter competitor.
As obscure as it sounds, there appears to be interest in seeing this matchup come to fruition. YouTuber turned boxer and part-owner of ESPN’s MMA organization PFL, Jake Paul, tweeted about the fight sharing that he’d be happy to promote it for charity.
Let’s get serious, the likelihood of this fight happening is low, but for the sake of fans and haters alike — we hope it does.
