We all know that Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s nicest men by this point, right? We really don’t need any more evidence to come to this conclusion. We will take it, however, as it brightens up our day and makes us feel like the world isn’t such a bad place after all. This latest nugget of niceness comes from actor Kate Beckinsale.

The actress recently recalled a moment when Reeves played the role of the white knight, coming to her rescue at her very first Cannes Film Festival in 1993. The actress was attending the event with the cast of the Kenneth Branagh-directed Shakespeare adaption Much Ado About Nothing and had a slight wardrobe malfunction that could have potentially put her in a very tight spot. Luckily Reeves was there to help out. Reeves also had a co-conspirator in kindness that day with co-star Robert Sean Leonard also lending a hand.

The actress must have been feeling nostalgic at Cannes this year as she posted her recollection of the day on her Instagram.

What could have been an absolute disaster ended up being a sweet moment for Beckinsale who is still grateful to this day for her co-stars and their help as they “both jumped in to save me no questions asked.”

Reeves has built up a huge reputation for being a sweet guy, with the actor constantly having very lovely interactions with fans, buying thoughtful gifts for many who work on his movies with him, and essentially being a good guy wherever he goes.
