Arnold Schwarzenegger has graced the world with too many iconic roles to count.

The former body-builder turned actor and eventual politician has been a staple of numerous blockbuster franchises, helping to establish hits like Terminator and Predator as box office behemoths. These franchises became overnight pop culture sensations, thanks in large part to Schwarzenegger’s presence on the cast, and the popular actor later took that same zeal to the world of politics. As a political figure, Schwarzenegger served as Governor of California for several terms, and is well-remembered as an unexpected win for the state. While he wasn’t necessarily a groundbreaking governor, Schwarzengger’s work to move toward the center, all while making efforts to improve the state, will see his political legacy remembered for decades, at least.

That hardly scratches the surface of everything that makes the Austrian-born star a titan across industries, but its safe to say that just about everyone — from those who grew up under his most iconic films to those who know him better as a politician — is familiar with Schwarzenegger’s legacy. Which makes it all the more impressive that his son is working to follow in his footsteps.

Particularly when compared to his famous father, Joseph Baena is still in the minor leagues, but he’s working his way up fast. Seemingly determined to emulate his father in more than one way, the 25-year-old is taking on several of the career paths that gave his father a name in America, including bodybuilding and acting.

It is the latter that is really catching attention these days, after the bulked-up young Baena was seen prepping for a slew of upcoming performances. After largely appearing in more minor roles or shorts, Baena is finally breaking into the world of acting with a vengeance, and he looks mighty familiar in recent photos. Snaps of the star’s prep for his upcoming action flicks, which include Gunner and Called to Duty: The Last Airshow, showcase some of the same bulk that helped his father break into the world of cinema.

Photos of the jacked Baena quickly prompted comparisons back to his father, and it’s hard to argue with the resemblance. While Baena doesn’t quite have those Mr. Universe muscles, he’s still an impressive specimen to behold, and people are already predicting a quick rise to the top in the same vein as his famous father, as the star eyes four impending film debuts over the next few years. It seems we’ll soon have a new Schwarzenegger — albeit one not sporting the famous last name — to obsess over, once Baena’s slew of upcoming releases start hitting screens.
