X-Men: Apocalypse Blu-Ray Detailed And Dated

Let's not beat around the bush here: X-Men: Apocalypse was a bit of a letdown. The film failed to do anything fresh or exciting with the franchise and didn't strike much of a chord with audiences or critics. It's pulled in roughly $533 million at the worldwide box office to date, which is nothing to scoff at, but it was hardly the hit that 20th Century Fox was hoping for.

Let’s not beat around the bush here: X-Men: Apocalypse was a bit of a letdown. The film failed to do anything fresh or exciting with the franchise and didn’t strike much of a chord with audiences or critics. It’s pulled in roughly $533 million at the worldwide box office to date, which is nothing to scoff at, but it was hardly the hit that 20th Century Fox was hoping for.

Perhaps the studio will be able to bring in a bit more money when the film hits DVD/Blu-ray, which will happen this Fall. Entertainment Weekly has the scoop, telling us that Apocalypse will arrive on Digital HD on September 9th followed by a physical release on October 4th.

In terms of special features, we don’t have exact details just yet, but according to EW, there will be deleted scenes, a gag reel, an audio commentary by Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg, a making-of doc and a photo gallery. Unfortunately, there will be no sort of extended cut like we recently saw with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, meaning that if you weren’t pleased with what was presented in theatres, you should probably steer clear of the home video release.

X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive on Digital HD on September 9th and Blu-Ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD on October 4th. Tell us, will you be picking up Bryan Singer’s latest film this Fall on any of the aforementioned formats? Sound off below and let us know!
