In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Universal Studios has announced three more classic catalog titles for release on Blu-Ray this June.
The first of the bunch is Steven Soderbergh‘s Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts and Aaron Eckhart. The film won Roberts an Academy Award in 2001 and went on to get 4 other nominations. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The following special features have been confirmed:
- Two behind-the-scenes featurettes
- Two 100 Years of Universal featurettes
Erin Brockovich will street on June 5th, 2012.
The second film getting the high-def treatment is Smokey and the Bandit, starring Burt Reynolds. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will also be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. Here’s a list of confirmed bonus content:

Smokey and the Bandit will be released on June 5th, 2012.
The third and final film coming to Blu-Ray on June 5th is The Sting, starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Universal will be offering the film in two different packages: a 2 disc Blu-Ray/DVD Collector’s Edition digibook and a single disc Blu-Ray release. Both packages will come with a new digital restoration of the film from an original 35mm print. It will be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The following bonus material has been confirmed:
- Three-part The Art of the Sting documentary
- Three 100 Years of Universal featurettes
- Theatrical Trailer
The Sting will be available to own on Blu-Ray on June 5th, 2012.
