Sony has announced the Blu-Ray release of Martin McDonagh‘s Seven Psychopaths for January of next year. The film stars Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Woody Harrelson.
After the underground hit In Bruges, director Martin McDonagh returns to the big screen for his deconstruction of the typical American psychopath film in Seven Psychopaths. This clever and sharply written film soared because of performances by Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken and although it didn’t hang in at the box office for too long it will surely be a success once it hits home video.
It’s just too good of a film to be skipped and I’m glad I was able to catch it a couple of times while it was playing near me.
Our very own Jonathan Lack reviewed the film and loved it. Here’s what he had to say about it:
With a truly original script, premise, and insightful structural deconstruction, Seven Psychopaths offers entertainment at its sharpest and most perceptive.
