My goodness, it seems like these deleted scenes from The Avengers just keep coming. Of course, I’m not complaining, I’m just surprised that we’re seeing so many so soon. We’ve already seen one featuring Bruce Banner, another with Loki and Hawkeye, and just yesterday, we got a look at the alternate opening.
Today, thanks to Comic Book Movie, we get a new scene featuring Steve Rogers (aka Captain America), a man out of time. This appears to be an extended intro to his character before he is confronted by Nick Fury in the gym.
Personally, I find this to be the most interesting of the deleted scenes thus far. It hits home emotionally as Rogers tries to get used to this new world he has suddenly found himself in, as well as having to face the fact that the people he knew have died or moved on with their lives.
The release of this scene merely the next day after the alternate opening is certainly starting to lend credence to my theory that we may very well see all of the deleted scene before the Blu-Ray even gets released.
As I mentioned yesterday, there are only eight deleted scenes listed, and with this new one, we’ve now had the chance to see four of them. With 27 days still left to go before the Blu-Ray release, I think it’s fair to say that we’ll definitely be seeing more.
The Avengers finally comes to Blu-Ray on September 25th.
