The second week of February will see gamers taking on the role of an aggressive and well-trained ex-mob hitman for the second time. We know this for sure, because Electronic Arts has officially confirmed its plans to release Shank 2 onto Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC on February 7. It will bring two-dimensional, side-scrolling mayhem back to the forefront, with tons of stabbing, sawing, shooting and aimed explosions.
Klei Entertainment has been hard at work on the development front, with help from the EA Partners group. The two are eager to get this project out to the masses, promising a new, action-packed co-op survival mode. It will pit two friends against endless waves of animated baddies.
You will be able to purchase Shank 2 for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99) on February 7, if you live in North America. European gamers will have to wait one additional day. It will also cost 800 Microsoft Points or €9.99 in that region.
