Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman have just started shooting Peter Glanz‘s directorial debut The Longest Week and today we have the first photos from the shoot.
The Longest Week is the story of Conrad Valmont, played by Bateman, a wealthy and aimless man who lives in his parents’ prestigious Manhattan hotel. However, in just one week, he’s evicted, disinherited and in love. Wilde will play the female lead in the film but besides that little else is known about her role, though these new photos suggest that her character is the one that Bateman falls in love with.
The film, which is being described as a dramedy, is being budgeted at under $5 million dollars and is rumoured to be very short, with the shoot looking to wrap around January.
The Longest Week is based on a Peter Glanz black-and-white short called A Relationship in Four Days, which screened at Hamptons Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival, back in 2008.
Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, Billy Crudup, Janet Montgomery, Jenny Slate, Laura Clery and Erin Maya Darke and will be released in 2012.
