In this year’s Avengers: Infinity War sequel, actress Emma Fuhrmann took over from Abby Ryder Fortson as the teenage Cassie Lang. For her scenes opposite Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Fuhrmann journeyed to Atlanta, where she took a seemingly harmless photo of a pretty-looking sunset. But as the actress explained in a recent interview with ComicBook.com, even the most innocent social media post could be regarded as a potential risk on the set of Endgame:

“So, I had gotten to Atlanta to film, and there was this gorgeous sunset. I took a picture of the sunset and posted it on my Instagram story, and I just tagged the location, Atlanta, Georgia. The next day, [Marvel’s] head of security came to my trailer and talked to me about how I can’t post that.”

Though Fuhrmann initially failed to see what the big deal was, Marvel’s head of security explained that even the slightest bit of intel could lead to complications:

“I was like, ‘Well, I wasn’t going to say I was on set of you know, Endgame or anything,’ and they were like, ‘No, we understand, you’re not the first person we had to talk to about this today, but I’ve had people calling me all day trying to find out where you’re going to be filming,’ and that was such a sort of just like a, ‘Okay, wow, this is real.’”

It was only then that Fuhrmann began to comprehend the scale of the production she was working on:

“It could not have gotten any realer, I really didn’t understand just how large Marvel was, and how much of an impact it had. That really just was a sort of pinch me moment even though I was in a little bit of trouble.”

While Endgame was Fuhrmann’s first MCU movie, there’s a distinct possibility that it won’t be her last.

Granted, a third Ant-Man film has yet to be announced, and between the Disney-Fox deal and the various features currently confirmed for Phase 4, Marvel’s release schedule is already looking pretty crowded without another outing from Scott Lang. Still, even before the release of Avengers: Endgame, it was widely speculated that Cassie may have a bright future in the franchise, and the character’s newfound adolescence has only added fuel to the theories.

Could Emma Fuhrmann be a part of the heavily rumored Young Avengers movie? Only time will tell, though here’s hoping that next week’s San Diego Comic-Con can offer some clues.
