While the strategy for marketing MCU movies tends to involve giving away as little as possible, one major exception is the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home.
In the lead-up to Avengers: Endgame, the film essentially served as one big spoiler for the events of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, and since then, the various promos for the wall-crawler’s next solo outing haven’t been shy about giving away key moments. In fact, in one of the flick’s many TV spots, it’s said that viewers can see the final shot of one of Far From Home’s two post-credits scenes.
This news comes to us from MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, and while he stopped short of saying which TV spot or which shot, the footage is out there for you to find. Of course, a shot without context can only tell you so much, and while Sony hasn’t been particularly stingy with the details, even they have their limits on just how much they’re willing to reveal in advance. Regardless, if you consider yourself to be an especially spoiler-phobic Marvel fan, then you may want to err on the side of caution and give the film’s promotional footage a miss for the next couple of days.
As is usually the case, the details of Spider-Man: Far From Home’s two post-credits scenes leaked online a good few days prior to release, and both of them reportedly pack some pretty surprising developments. And with the film already in theaters overseas, the entire plot is now just a Google search away.
That being said, if you’ve somehow succeeded in dodging spoilers so far, then you’ll only have to wait until the movie’s North American release on July 2nd to see it all for yourself.
