Last month, Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment finally pulled back the curtain on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and ever since the reveal event at Star Wars Celebration, fans have been clamoring for more information, details, and most importantly, some gameplay footage.
For better or for worse, EA has only provided a brief glimpse with a rather slick, cinematic reveal trailer, leaving Star Wars devotees wondering exactly how Fallen Order will look and feel. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait much longer to get a first look at some new gameplay.
As reported by ComicBook.com, Electronic Arts is planning to pull back the curtain next month. While the publisher won’t be showing it off at E3 – as has become standard practice – Jedi: Fallen Order will be shown off at EA Play, a separate event which is hosted at an off-site venue.
Still, even though it won’t be available to play on the show floor, there’s a good chance that the game will make an appearance at the Microsoft conference, given Electronic Arts’ history of making branding and marketing deals with Xbox. Sony, who has continually outpaced the competition thanks to strong PlayStation 4 sales figures, will be skipping E3 this year.
Hopefully, more details will come to light as we get closer to next month. EA Play is scheduled to take place on June 7, and it seems the publisher is planning to live stream much of the event, which is sure to please fans who can’t make it out to Los Angeles themselves.
“We’re skipping the press conference this year and are replacing it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event, bringing you more of what you’ve told us you want – more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games,” EA explained.
Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the game. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to release later this year on November 15th, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PCs.
