In one corner, you have Westeros. Here stands Jon Snow, Arya Stark, the Night King and many other iconic characters, who all came together last weekend for an unforgettable episode of Game of Thrones. Yes, HBO finally brought us the Battle of Winterfell and though it was a bit too dark – literally – it still delivered an epic outing of the hit fantasy series. One that fans are still struggling to process.
In the other corner, meanwhile, you have the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here stands Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and countless other beloved heroes, who joined forces to put an end to the mighty Thanos once and for all in Avengers: Endgame. Arguably one of the biggest movies of our generation, it hit theaters this past weekend and sent viewers into a frenzy, killing off a few favorites, dropping tons of pleasing easter eggs and callbacks and delivering one of the most exhilarating blockbusters, well, ever.
And in both corners are tons of people who simply can’t handle themselves after what’s been an absolute rush of a weekend. Yes, it was a huge couple of days for both the Marvel and Thrones fanbases and over on Twitter, folks are expressing their thoughts on what just went down.

For many of us, this weekend was huge.
ENDGAME was the culmination of over 10 YEARS of movies.
Game of Thrones was the the culmination of EIGHT years of “winter is coming”
This is not just some shit you can jump in to…

ok so game of thrones and then endgame two days in a row was, in fact, a lot.

No doubt, these Tweets echo what a lot of fans are feeling right now, as both HBO and Marvel have given us much to think about and discuss with the latest episode of Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame. And though some are currently debating who had the bigger/more exciting weekend, I think we can all agree that no matter which fanbase you find yourself in, everyone’s a winner after what we just witnessed over the past few days.
