Bane Unleashes Hell In Synopsis For Gotham’s Penultimate Episode

With all the talk surrounding Gotham's final episode and Fox coughing up official photos of Batman and the Joker, it can become somewhat easy to forget that we have one more episode remaining before the big moment arrives. Actually, the wait is doubly excruciating because the network decided to place three reruns in between "I am Bane" and the episode we're here to discuss right now.

On April 18th, not only will we be treated to yet another new installment in the series, but the aforementioned Bane will continue destroying everything in his path in “They Did What?” Here’s the official synopsis for that one:

As Bane (guest star Shane West) enacts his final plan for Gotham’s destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. Meanwhile, Nyssa al Ghul (guest star Jaime Murray) kidnaps Barbara’s newborn daughter, with ambitions to raise her as her own. Then, Bruce’s decision to leave Gotham points him to his destiny, while devastating Selina in the all-new “They Did What?” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 18 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-509) (TV-14 L, V)

I’m not exactly sure what Nyssa al Ghul attempting to pilfer Barbara Kean’s baby has to do with her avenging her father’s death, but I guess she has to fill her free time somehow. And while she does that, Bane will probably find yet another way to shock us all. He’s already broken the back of Alfred Pennyworth, after all.

What’s also intriguing to learn is that Bruce Wayne is pondering leaving Gotham, which is something we weren’t sure would ever happen in this universe. They could’ve just followed Batman: Earth One‘s lead and said he’d never left town, but it appears as though he’ll indeed travel abroad and learn a wealth of new skills before donning cape and cowl.
