Dead By Daylight‘s unique take on survival horror and asymmetric multiplayer has proven to be a hit with fans, and developer Behaviour Interactive shows no signs of slowing down, at least when it comes to post-release downloadable content. Over the past few years, a handful of new maps, killers, and survivors have been released at a steady pace, and a few licensed characters have found their way into the game, too, including Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, Leatherface and Freddy Krueger.
Even though Dead By Daylight was originally released back in 2016 on PC (with console ports coming the following year), it still enjoys a rather active fanbase. At the time of writing, it’s the 27th most popular game on Steam, with over 20,000 players logging in to play matches online. Unsurprisingly, Behaviour Interactive and publisher Starbreeze Studios have sought fit to release yet another DLC pack based on one of the most iconic horror comedy franchises.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that DLC based on Ash vs. Evil Dead would be making its way to Dead By Daylight, despite the TV incarnation being canceled last year. This piece of content comes packed with one survivor (Ash Williams) as well as a new perk. Behaviour Interactive even released a brief trailer and a few screenshots to give players a brief glimpse of the upcoming content.
Thankfully, folks won’t have to wait long to get their hands on this new DLC. As reported by Game Rant, the Dead by Daylight Ash vs. Evil Dead DLC is set to release on April 2nd, for Windows PCs, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While this piece of content won’t include a new map or killer, more fleshed-out DLC is set to come out in June, September and December of this year. For those looking to play Dead by Daylight on the go, be sure to keep an eye out for the Nintendo Switch version, which is set to release sometime in the fall.
