New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Confirmed To Debut During Super Bowl

Our long wait for more Avengers: Endgame footage is finally over, as it's now been confirmed that we'll see a new TV spot on Sunday, February 3rd during Super Bowl LIII. The inclusion of the promo on Super Bowl Sunday has been rumored for a very long time, but now it's just a matter of counting down the days until it airs, and while the first trailer was rather sombre and low-key, the nature of Super Bowl ads means that Marvel Studios will be eager to dazzle audiences with some of the more impressive sequences from the film.

This should, in turn, give us a much better idea of what Endgame‘s going to be about. Right now, we have a bunch of disconnected jigsaw pieces, like the fact that several Avengers will have new ‘Quantum Realm’ costumes, the fact that time travel is rumored to be involved and some peeks at other costumes and hairstyles. Hopefully, this new footage will let us assemble those pieces into a whole that shows us the basic story of the film and hints at how our heroes will finally take down Thanos.

Releasing new footage at the Super Bowl makes a huge amount of sense for Disney. After all, a year ago they debuted the Super Bowl trailer for Infinity War, which went on to become the ‘big winner’ of the night (I mean, aside from some football team), and generated a huge amount of buzz online. At this point, it’s not as if Endgame needs that much more hype, but the more people are talking about how exciting it’s going to be the better it’ll be for Disney.

But the Avengers aren’t the only (end)game in town. Far from it, in fact. From what we understand, we can also expect trailers for Aladdin, Toy Story 4, Alita: Battle Angel and Hobbs & Shaw to air. I’d hazard a guess we’ll also probably see Captain Marvel too, but that’s yet to be confirmed. As always, though, watch this space for more.
