Chris Hemsworth Shares First Official Photo From Men In Black Reboot

It's been a pretty big day for Chris Hemsworth. Not only did we get a glimpse of him looking understandably glum as Thor in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, but we've now got our first look at Men in Black International in which he and Tessa Thompson will play MIB agents tasked with saving Earth from the scum of the universe.

The actor shared the picture on Twitter not too long ago, explaining the following:

“#FBF shooting MIB with my partner in galaxy protection @TessaThompson_x when we were ripping aliens a new one. From memory, this shot was taken in between set ups when we noticed some criminal activity on the streets in London.

We immediately drew our laser guns and took down one of the largest crime syndicates in the city. Happy to say the streets of London are now safe again. You’re welcome world.”

It looks like pretty much what you’d expect from Men in Black. Chrome-finished laser pistols, a cool retro black car and smart suits. I do wonder quite what Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K would think of both agents going tie-less, but I guess sartorial standards have slipped a bit at MIB HQ (then again, at the end of the original Men in Black, Will Smith’s Agent J was wearing a very 90s snazzy collarless suit, so maybe the dress code is more elastic than I thought).

Anyhow, Men in Black International will see the two agents traveling the world in order to solve a murder. For those who’ve been keeping track of the project’s various shooting locations, the globe-trotting theme shouldn’t come as too great a shock, with Hemsworth and Thompson making journeys from London to Morocco to Italy, as well as the usual New York. We’ll also get to see Liam Neeson appearing as the head of the UK branch of MIB, plus Emma Thompson reprising her role as MIB head Agent O from 2012’s Men in Black 3, who’ll presumably be responsible for overseeing the new central pair.

We imagine that a trailer for Men in Black International isn’t too far away now, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for it. And in the meantime, feel free to take to the comments section to share your early thoughts on the reboot.
