Full Details And Special Features For Halloween Blu-Ray Revealed

With Halloween's Blu-ray release just around the corner now, Universal has revealed all the special features we'll be treated to on the disc.

If you’re reading this, then there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve already seen the new Halloween, with David Gordon Green’s horror hit recently passing Scream to become the highest-grossing slasher movie of all time. However, if you’d like to honor Michael Myers’ latest visit to Haddonfield with a place on your shelf, then the upcoming Blu-ray release should definitely do the trick.

As we reported on a few weeks back, it’s set to arrive in stores on January 15th (with the pic hitting Digital on December 28th), and now, we’ve got the full list of special features that are set to be included on the disc. Thankfully, there’s a lot here for fans to sink their teeth into, with a number of deleted scenes (one of which we saw earlier today) and a couple of featurettes that look quite interesting.

The full list reads as follows:

  • Deleted/Extended Scenes
    • Extended Shooting Range
    • Shower Mask Visit
    • Jog to a Hanging Dog
    • Allyson and Friends at School
    • Cameron and Cops Don’t Mix
    • Deluxe Banh Mi Cops
    • Sartain and Hawkins Ride Along
  • Back in Haddonfield: Making Halloween
  • The Original Scream Queen
  • The Sound of Fear
  • Journey of the Mask
  • The Legacy of Halloween

Of course, even once you’ve gone through all of this, there’s still more Halloween to come in the form of the all but officially announced sequel. Details on Michael’s next big screen outing remain vague, but co-writer Danny McBride confirmed the other week that talks have already begun on the follow-up. Who’ll be returning, however, is still unknown, with actress Jamie Lee Curtis saying that she’ll only come back for another outing if Green does.

Nevertheless, there’ll be plenty of time to learn more about what’s next for this un-killable horror property, but until that sequel comes our way, this new Halloween is one that a lot of people are no doubt going to want to revisit on Digital/Blu-ray.
