Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently said that the Avengers 4 trailer will definitely drop before the end of the year. Like many of you, I’m hungry for even the smallest peek at what’s coming next Spring and the glimpses at costumes in promotional material and LEGO sets just aren’t cutting it like they used to.
With rumors mounting that the trailer will release at some point during November though (which makes sense as that’s when the Infinity War trailer dropped last year), the user ‘Trailer Music’ on Russian social media site vk.com claims that they have a couple of bits of information as to what it’ll contain. First’s a confirmation that Marvel Studios are targeting a November release. Second’s that the title is, as has been mentioned for a couple of weeks now, Avengers: Annihilation. And last but not least is that the music to be used in the trailer will be Twelve Titan Music’s “Dust and Light” (which you can check out below).
Now, I have no idea who the source is for this story, so it could be complete fiction. However, this piece of music was used in the trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and based on what we know about Avengers 4, it seems to hit the right tone. Give it a listen and see if you don’t agree.
Given that Infinity War famously ended with The Snap, we should expect the trailer to at least partially address what came after that, meaning that a downbeat, ominous and slightly funereal piece of music definitely fits the bill. The way it gets a little harder later in the track would also be a great moment to tease one of the film’s bigger action sequences.
Either way, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out if this is what Marvel’s using. The first Infinity War preview landed on November 29th, 2017, and Disney’s next big upcoming release that the Avengers 4 trailer could feasibly be attached to is Ralph Breaks the Internet on November 21st, so you might want to keep that date in mind.
