While the internet has seen a generous supply of leaks and theories around the upcoming Avengers 4, Marvel Studios remain stingy on the official details, and apparently this continuing silence has yielded a strange new display of fan impatience.
Though you may be unfamiliar with the name Kirk Deveyck, the YouTuber got some noteworthy viewing figures last year with a video demanding that Marvel release the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, and once more a few months ago with a similarly high-energy upload calling for the Captain Marvel teaser.
Now, Deveyck is staying decidedly on brand with another eccentric viral release titled: “WE WANT THE TRAILER FOR AVENGERS 4”
For what it’s worth, the speculation lately is that the Avengers 4 trailer could be only a few weeks away, which would line up pretty closely with the the promotion for Infinity War. Earlier this year, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige also offered a vague idea of when we can expect this promo when he told Collider:
“That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title. It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”
When it finally does arrive, not only will we presumably get a much better idea of what the Russo Brothers have planned for the MCU’s Phase 3 finale, but the many dubious trailer description “leaks” that have been flooding online forums can finally stop, too.
The other major reveal that may arrive at the same time is the long-awaited title of next year’s flick. Marvel’s questionable choice to sit on the name for so long has led to a whole load of suggestions making the rounds online, the most persistent of the rumored candidates perhaps being Avengers: Annihilation.
In any case, Avengers 4 won’t be hitting cinemas until May 3rd, 2019, and you can bet that the fans won’t be getting any calmer in the meantime.
