New Details On Leia’s Final Scene In Star Wars: Episode IX Surface

YouTuber Mike Zeroh has some new details on Princess Leia's final scene in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX, and it sounds like an emotional one.

Even in a world without Carrie Fisher, the actress remains synonymous with the role of Leia Organa, the galaxy’s favorite princess-turned-general who was last seen in The Last Jedi.

Sadly, Fisher passed away before Rian Johnson’s divisive sequel saw the warm light of day, leading the Powers That Be to dedicate Episode VIII to the actress and her long-lasting legacy.

Turns out we haven’t seen the last of General Leia, though, as we know that J.J. Abrams has carved out room for the Resistance leader in Star Wars: Episode IX. Further details on that role remain under lock and key, and understandably so, but Internet forums and fans everywhere have been furiously speculating on what Lucasfilm may have in store for her.

It’ll probably be some time yet before we get anything concrete on how Leia will factor into things, but Star Wars tipster Mike Zeroh is back this week with a new scoop, giving us a few interesting details on how the character’s final moments will play out. According to him, Abrams and co. will be treating this particular part of the film with great care, hoping to deliver a very emotional scene that will also honor the late Carrie Fisher.

Not only that, but it’s said that rotoscoping techniques will be used to insert Leia in a new environment, while John Williams is apparently going to write a dedicated track for the General’s departure. Zeroh also goes on to say that the scene in question could see her with Luke and/or Kylo, but that’s simply speculation on his part – though it would make sense.

Regardless of how things shake out here, it’ll be interesting watching the Leia sequences in Star Wars: Episode IX and trying to figure out which film they came from and in which context her lines might have been originally delivered. The pressure’s certainly on for Disney, as the whole world will be scrutinizing these scenes very closely indeed, but we’ve got a good feeling that J.J. Abrams will be able to deliver.
