Having conquered the box office in record-breaking fashion, Avengers: Infinity War is now available on your preferred digital platform, and to help promote the release – not that it needed the boost, mind you – the titular supergroup’s official Twitter account has shared a clip from the blockbuster to end all blockbusters.
While Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has been somewhat preoccupied releasing some of the bonus content that’ll be accompanying the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed film onto home video, if the distribution division of The Walt Disney Company really wanted to get the word out there, it should’ve dropped this snippet ages ago.
Featuring Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), the roughly thirty-second clip in question – which you can check out above – showcases our heroes as they tangle with members of the Black Order, who were initially attempting to take the Mind Stone from Vision (Paul Bettany).
Unfortunately, the scene is trimmed, and we pick it up after Cap has already made his badass entrance behind a passing subway, but for those of us waiting for a physical copy Avengers: Infinity War – which, by the way, will be arriving on August 14th – it’ll have to do.
Only the fourth ticket booth titan ever to conquer the elusive $2 billion plateau, Avengers: Infinity War held a top ten spot for ten weeks, with three weeks at number one, and now, with its street date on the horizon, one can’t help but think that the nineteenth MCU entry has a home video record, or two, in its crosshairs.
Also, if you haven’t placed your pre-order yet, or just happen to need another copy (maybe for a friend?), be sure to enter our contest for a chance to win the film on Blu-ray!
