New Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice BTS Photos Showcase The Armored Bat Suit

Well, San Diego Comic-Con 2018 came and went, and unfortunately, the Snyder cut was nowhere to be seen, nor was Zack Snyder, for that matter. DC and WB did manage to make up for the lack of a Justice League director’s cut, though, what with the first teaser for Shazam!, some unpolished Wonder Woman 1984 footage, and the first trailer for Aquaman all arriving simultaneously. That said, one can’t help but feel a little let-down, especially after all the hoopla regarding an alternate version of the much-maligned supergroup movie really had us going, but I digress.

DC and WB did manage to make up for the lack of a Justice League director’s cut, though, what with the first teaser for Shazam!, some unpolished Wonder Woman 1984 footage and the first trailer for Aquaman all arriving simultaneously. That said, one can’t help but feel a little letdown, especially after all the hoopla regarding an alternate version of the much-maligned supergroup movie really had us going, but I digress.

All in all, us not getting the director’s cut of Justice League is probably for the best. After all, it wasn’t until his fifth DCEU film that Snyder would’ve supposedly “resolved everyone’s arc” anyway. That and there’s just no way it could’ve ever lived up to the hype. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, on the other hand, I feel, will only appreciate with age.

Speaking of the divisive superhero feature, Ironhead Studio, the effects company behind X-Men: First Class, The Avengers and the aforementioned Batman V Superman, has now shared a couple of behind the scenes photos of their armored bat suit in action, which you can check out below.

Taken straight from the pages of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, this is undoubtedly one of the Caped Crusader’s most famous on-screen outfits. And now, thanks to Ironhead Studio, you can catch a glimpse of the iconic ensemble in action as two stunt performers practice for the titular showdown between Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice may not have the critical acclaim to accompany its moderately successful theatrical run, but the consistently vivisected feature is gathering quite the cult following, of which I’m proud to be a member, and little behind the scenes looks like what we have here are most definitely appreciated.
