Marvel’s Kevin Feige Addresses The Stan Lee Elder Abuse Situation

Nonetheless, handling your run of the mill rumour is one thing, but it’s nothing compared to dealing with the alleged elder abuse surrounding Stan Lee. During a recent sit-down with the Los Angeles Daily News, Feige said the following of the unfortunate circumstances dogging the former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief: ”It's very complicated, and of course we're always seeing what we can do about it. It's sad.”

Working a media junket is never an easy thing to do, but they’re especially tricky to navigate if you’re the driving force behind the highest grossing film franchise of all time. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is the prime mover in question, and while promoting the twentieth entry into the MCU, Ant-Man and the Wasp, the producing vet of twenty years has been forced to answer some trying questions.

For those of you who don’t know, since the death of his wife, Joan, in 2017, Stan Lee has been the subject of embezzlement and identity theft. Not to mention, his physical health has been called into question.

Thankfully, then, Feige isn’t the only instrumental player inside the MCU to offer Lee assistance. Director of all three Guardians of the Galaxy installments, James Gunn, took to Instagram earlier this year to wish icon well, saying: “I’m always here for Stan in any way he needs me. Just let me know.”

I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Stan Lee all the best and it’s nice to hear that he has the support of Marvel Studios behind him. With any luck, he’ll be able to move past all these troubles sooner rather than later.
