Colossus Vs. Thanos? Deadpool 2 Star Stefan Kapičić Is Certainly Game

While appearing at a recent press event in London, Deadpool 2 actor Stefan Kapičić revealed his desire to see Colossus share the screen with Thanos.

Providing Disney is able to acquire 20th Century Fox and its lucrative IPs, there are a number of geek-friendly crossovers that would surely rake in the big bucks – think Avengers vs. X-Men, Wolverine and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and the Guardians of the Galaxy and…Deadpool?

Yes, suffice it to say, if the Mouse House is able to fend off a late surge from Comcast – last we reported, the U.S. cable giant had tabled a “superior” all-cash offer, with crunch talks between Disney and Fox due to take place this July – a war chest will be promptly delivered to Kevin Feige’s office, igniting a whole new era for comic book movies.

There’s still a fair amount of ‘ifs’, ‘buts’ and ‘maybes’ surrounding the potential merger, but should everything fall into place for Disney, Deadpool 2 star Stefan Kapičić hopes to see his on-screen mutant, Colossus, take the fight to Thanos.

I wanna’ fight Thanos, which would be weird because we have Thanos playing Cable. But you know, CGI can do a lot of stuff.

Those comments came during a recent press event in London (h/t Screen Geek), where Kapičić was in town to promote his sizeable role in Deadpool 2 – he’s essentially the surrogate father of Wade Wilson, who continues to throw the toys out of the pram anytime the X-Men are mentioned.

When it comes to Kapičić’s proposed crossover, though, Josh Brolin has already portrayed Nathan Summers (AKA Cable) as well as Thanos, so we can’t imagine the Powers That Be will upend continuity just to fulfill a wistful fantasy. Still, it’s a pretty cool idea nonetheless, even if our money would be on Thanos after the Mad Titan was able to dismantle the Incredible Hulk without so much as breaking a sweat.
