Another new (and fantastic) trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Drive has hit and despite giving away a bit too much, it still shows off the film for what it is, a brilliant piece of cinema (or so I hear).
From speaking to a number of people who have seen it, all I hear is fantastic things. Praise is flowing in for the lead performance from Hollywood’s next big thing, Ryan Gosling, and people can’t stop buzzing about this one.
The new trailer shows off some footage that we haven’t seen yet but it’s also somewhat spoiler-ish, which is surprising. That aside, it gives us a look at the intense, gritty world that the film seems to inhabit and it also shows off what is sure to be a stunning performance from Gosling.
Supporting the Canadian actor are Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Christina Hendricks and Oscar Issac. An excellent supporting cast to say the least. Will Drive live up to the hype it built on the festival circuit? I guess we’ll find out when it hits theatres on September 16th. Or, if you’re attending TIFF, feel free to check it out there.
