No matter if you prefer Marvel or DC, I think we can all agree that 2017 has thus far been an exceptionally great year for comic book movies. Having said that, I and many of you out there probably can’t wait to add each of them to your respective home video collections. In fact, one in particular that I’m especially looking forward to purchasing is that of Peter Parker’s first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
While you wait for this baby to adorn your shelf, Sony’s now gone ahead and released the first ten minutes of the Webhead’s latest big screen adventure online for your viewing pleasure. And, right from the get-go, we’re reminded of what made Michael Keaton’s interpretation of the Vulture so great. Seriously, I’ve long had my doubts of that character being able to be adapted well to live action, but lo and behold, I now believe him to be the MCU’s best villain to date. Not only were his motivations made entirely clear, but Keaton brought such gravitas to the role, making the baddie both believable and terrifying.
In addition to that, we’re given a flashback to the events of Captain America: Civil War, which served as Spidey’s actual MCU debut. Needless to say, the filmmakers did one heck of a job when it came to capturing the hero’s youthful nature.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will release digitally on September 26 and on 4K Ultra DVD/Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 17. Tell us, do you plan on taking home the movie to revisit it, or perhaps even to watch it for the first time? Head to the comments section and let us know!
