Star Wars Battlefront II‘s gameplay revealĀ last week did exactly what EA intended. Besides reassuring fans of all generations that the sequel will be bigger, bolder and more beautiful than the 2015 original could ever dream of being, the jaw-dropping showcase hammered home the very important fact that community feedback is being considered every step of the way.
We are, of course, yet to see everything that Battlefront II has to offer, but it’s already clear as day that EA, DICE and Motive Studios are all working in tandem to ensure that one of 2017’s most anticipated titles doesn’t attract the same criticism as its predecessor. We’ve already seen evidence of this new direction by way of last week’s EA Play, where the publisher confirmed that all post-launch DLC for the shooter will be free to download – an attractive selling point made possible by the introduction of microtransactions – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
As per the aptly-named ‘Game Changers’ video released earlier this week, various members of the development team discuss the importance of affording fans the opportunity to get a hands-on with Battlefront II ahead of launch, where feedback can make a real difference to the production process. You can check out the featurette for yourselves above, which also provides a few additional glimpses at more gameplay and Battlefront II‘s intriguing new class and points system. Those that missed the aforementioned gameplay reveal can head over here to watch it right now. Trust us, it’s worth it.
Star Wars Battlefront II is out this November for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
