EA has released one final teaser for Star Wars Battlefront II ahead of tomorrow’s long-awaited gameplay reveal, but it doesn’t give much away.
At just a few seconds in length, this particular appetizer depicts a battalion of Federation Droids being deployed and readied for battle against what one can only assume will be Republic. For those that missed it, an image released as part of the official Star Wars show yesterday revealed the staging ground of EA’s upcoming demo to be Theed, the lush capital city of Naboo, and as we all know, the particular brand of ‘bots shown in today’s teaser (below) are exclusively associated with the prequel trilogy, so everything is lining up neatly ahead of June 10.
For those chomping at the bit for the full trailer, you’ll want to tune into EA’s Play event tomorrow, which is scheduled to kick off at 12 pm PST/3:30 pm EST, but that’s not the only Star Wars themed occasion to get excited about. Following the trailer’s release, a 40-player live demonstration of Battlefront II‘s multiplayer will be streamed around the globe for all to see. Per PlayStation Lifestyle, find EA’s scene-setting description of the presentation below.
Prepare for the Assault on Theed! On June 10 at 12:30 PM PT, Darth Maul and other cross-era heroes enter the battlefield in a massive multiplayer livestream gameplay event you won’t want to miss. You might even become part of creating it.
At EA Play, you’ll be able to watch the first-ever live gameplay reveal of Star Wars Battlefront II, featuring livestream of 40-player gameplay set during the Assault on Theed – one of the new multiplayer battles from the prequel trilogy. Clone Troopers will mount a desperate defense against the invading forces of the Separatist Battle Droids. Can the Republic forces stop the relentless crawl of the massive Multi-Troop Transport as it lumbers toward the palace doors?
Star Wars Battlefront II is out November 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and will feature a dedicated single-play campaign told from the view of an Imperial soldier. See here for all the details.
