Spanish outlet La Provincia is reporting that Disney and Lucasfilm’s as-yet-untitled Han Solo anthology movie has set up shop on the island of Fuerteventura, which will seemingly double as a key location in the 2018 spinoff.

First spotted by ComicBook.com, the report asserts that Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s origin story will finally introduce Star Wars viewers to Corellia, Han’s often-mentioned but never-before-seen homeworld. The publication goes on to note that the far-flung planet is “where [Han] became the best smuggler in the galaxy under the order of Jabba the Hutt.” Could this mean Jabba, one of the most formidable gangsters in the galaxy, is set to feature in next year’s Han Solo movie? It’s certainly not out of the question.

La Provincia’s findings ought to be treated with heightened caution, though, as the outlet claims Corellia is where Han completed the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. In actuality, our roguish outlaw piloted the Millennium Falcon from Kessel, not Corellia, so take this latest rumor with a pinch of salt from the Kessel spice mines.

One thing that’s certain, however, is that Disney’s Han Solo pic will be headed up by Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Michael K. Williams, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Westworld star Thandie Newton.

Touting an “amazing” script, Disney’s untitled Han Solo anthology movie makes a beeline for theaters on May 25th, 2018 – you know, providing it isn’t bumped back to December. Next up for the Star Wars universe is the release of The Last Jedi on December 15th of this year, and it’s all but certain that we’ll clock eyes on the first reel of footage at next month’s Star Wars Celebration.
