Details are very scarce when it comes to the Assassin’s Creed project for the Wii U. However, we have been told that it will not be Revelations, which was a hopeful rumor going around. Instead, it will be something different that will hopefully be just as interesting.
During a recent interview with the Swedish website, AftonBladet.se, Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot officially denied those rumors. He is quoted to have mentioned that, while the announced title is “not Revelations“, it will be something “for the future”. If you know what that means, in regards to this ever-evolving and cryptic series, then please let me know.
Keep in mind that this denial does not rule out the potential for a later port of the next major entry in the series. Wii U adopters may not be left out on that one, but only time will tell.
Further questioning didn’t turn up any new information. The publisher would not discuss whether the project would be Assassin’s Creed 3, stating that they do not have any new information to share regarding the project.
We’ll keep you updated when we find out more. Though today’s information is certainly quite interesting.
All three of the Assassin’s Creed games were enjoyable, getting better as they progressed. The debut title was a bit repetitive in structure and had some other more minor issues, but those were fixed and improved upon in the two more recent releases. I just hope that Ubisoft will spread these titles out as they seem intent on releasing too many entries into the series in a short period of time.
